Plan a
holiday by road this summer, well before you book a resort or decide on the
places to visit, it would be equally important to think about the ways and
means you can engage your children while travelling. This is very important if
you intend to travel long hours. Long distance travel can often leave the child
extremely bored and uninterested in the vacation. You can keep feeding the
child with junk to keep him occupied but you need to come up with some
innovative ideas to keep him engaged and energized throughout the travel. What a better way, than to carry ample travel games and toys. If many of you
feel that it would be a sheer waste of money going by the toys price in India, I am sure it would be a lot cheaper than
ruining your holiday due to boredom of your child.
Planning
for travel games for your kids can be very interesting task for you. The bottom
line is that they should be enjoyable. Well some tips you need to keep in mind
while planning for travelling games for kids.
Apart from entertainment and fun they should also be educational, at least a
couple of them if not all. The games or toys should occupy minimum space as you
would be either travelling in a car or train or even a bus where space can be
very limited to play games. Travel toys
and games should be compact and light in weight as they would an excess baggage
that you need to carry around hence it should not bother you to carry it
wherever you would be travelling. If you are planning to carry travel toys make
sure they are of a minimum number as it would be difficult to place with them
all around the place. Preferable opt for magnetic toys that would be easier to
handle. Travel toys should preferable be not making any noise as it could
disturb other passengers travelling with you. If you are planning to travel
overnight it would be ideal to buy toys that glow in the night. Part from
these, you can also play some educational games like opposites with your kids.
Or color or alphabet recognition can be a very interesting game to play on the
way of your journey. You can carry some drawing books along with crayons and
encourage the child to draw and color whatever the child is seeing around.
